Choosing a School resource packs

isbi schools sends its Choosing a School resource packs on behalf of schools once a year in April. The pack is sent to 300 locations in the United Kingdom and worldwide. We have always aimed to supply the packs to locations in the armed forces and relocation agents where they are either used by educational advisors who are helping parents find schools for their children or, increasingly, our research and feedback indicates that they often loaned out to families to use at home, often by the parents along with their children. Locations include:

  • HM armed forces locations including Army Education Centres, HIVEs of all three services, Garrison libraries, RAF stations, Royal Navy and Royal Marines bases, and Joint Headquarters and defence liaison teams overseas
  • Relocation companies across the United Kingdom

Contents

  • Advice to parents on selecting and choosing a school for their children
  • A checklist of questions for parents to ask when visiting a school
  • Website details of useful educational organisations
  • Prospectuses, leaflets and DVDs the main content of the pack, supplied by schools for parents to use
