The College offers a unique educational experience: small classes, a team of outstanding, exam-oriented tutors, and a friendly informal but caring environment.
LOCATION: The College is superbly located at Notting Hill, one of London’s most fashionable and lively inner suburbs. It is conveniently located for access to the centre of London with its world-class range of theatres, museums, galleries, historical buildings and departmental stores.
FACILITIES: The College offers first-class teaching facilities including laboratories and up-to-date minute computing suites. There is a library incorporating private study places and a student common room.
Self-catering college student residences are conveniently located in West London.
‘A’ LEVEL PROGRAMME
The College offers GCE ‘A’ level classes in all the major subjects. ‘A’ level is the longest established UK qualification for University entrance to Honours Bachelor Degree courses.
There are 3, 5 and 6 term ‘A’ level programmes depending on the student’s entry level. The main intakes are in September and January.
Almost any combination of subjects can be arranged; students normally take three subjects in order to have the best choice of Universities. Mathematics, Sciences and Business Studies related subjects are the most popular choice of students, and each year outstanding results are achieved.
UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION PROGRAMME (UFP)
This is a one year course purpose designed in consultation with University admissions tutors. It gives guaranteed University entry after one academic year of study. There are intakes in September and January.
The course, modular in structure, lasts 32 weeks and combines core subjects material with specialist options.
Students on the UFP develop communications and study skills and build self-confidence as they progress towards university entry.
Work is continuously assessed so there is no ‘exam-pressure’.
UNIVERSITY APPLICATIONS
‘A’ level and UFP students receive individual advice and counselling to ensure that they make sound University choices and a high-quality application. In fact, the College’s aim can be said to be to ensure that all its students progress to the right degree course at the best possible University.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE
English Language support is available to all students at all levels throughout their academic programmes at the College.
Some students enrol for intensive English Language courses for up to one year in length before beginning their pre-University programmes.
PRE-MASTERS PROGRAMME
This is a course for international students already educated to degree or equivalent level who need further study (including English Language) before enrolling on a UK University post graduate programme.
As with other programmes students are given full assistance with choice of University course and submitting applications.
