A Word from the Head

Daily, weekly, termly and 52 week placements for young people with autism aged 14 – 19 years. Our students are referred from all over the UK.

Our jointly-planned 24 hour curriculum is designed to provide the highest quality education and care for our pupils.

This, together with our supportive, warm and happy environment is designed to enable our young people to, as far as possible, become fully participating members of family and community. High level of family support. Holistic approach includes augmented communications systems such as PECS as well as various therapies, such as art and music. It is our combination of communication and augmented support systems, which makes us unique.

We recognise that our young people have unique personalities, strengths and needs and we strive to find the best way forward with these. We therefore do not subscribe to any one teaching method, but access a range of interventions to respond to each individual based on continuous assessment.

Extensive grounds allowing young people access to open land and woodland without necessarily leaving the premises,

We offer accommodation in a range of contexts. Strong links to local college; extensive community access. External accreditation.

We also have a full-time nurse on site whose knowledge and experience is an intrinsic part of our young people’s wellbeing
