Foremarke Hall is a preparatory school for 450 boys and girls from 2.5 to 13, over 100 of whom board. The school is situated in undisturbed countryside in the centre of England. It is easily reached by the M1, M42 and Birmingham and East Midland airports.
The school is situated in a fine Georgian mansion surrounded by 50 acres of woods, playing fields and a lake. The facilities include all that a good school requires, including a new classroom building to house mathematics, two science laboratories, sophisticated computer technology, large art room with pottery facilities, Design Technology department, an extensive library run by a chartered librarian, an indoor competition sized swimming pool, a sports hall and a floodlit sports artificial turf surface.
As the school develops a five year plan is now in place to extend our Pre-Prep Department, totally modernise and improve the boys’ and girls’ changing facilities, and to build a new classroom block.
Great importance is attached to pastoral care where boarders have their own dedicated staff and space for themselves. There is an imaginative and varied programme of activities making most use of the grounds including outdoor pursuits. The sport programme is extensive and includes athletics, cricket, football, hockey, rounders, netball, swimming and tennis.
We seek to bring out the most in every pupil, to provide a rounded education and a range of experience and skills that will be a preparation for life. We value our ‘family atmosphere’ and strong sense of community, the spacious grounds and happy environment. The staff are involved in many ways of creating a friendly, disciplined atmosphere where common sense and good manners are encouraged.
The school has an excellent scholarship record. We offer scholarships in Music, Art, Drama, IT, ICT, Sport and Chess as well as Academic Scholarships at 7+ and 11+.
