Morley Hall Preparatory School is a large Victorian house reflecting tradition and charm. Set amongst open fields and next to ‘Hill Farm’ it has a truly beautiful and rural location.
Our aim is to achieve academic excellence within a happy and secure atmosphere. Small enough to care about the ability, potential and happiness of each child attending; wise enough to know, as fellow parents, that you wish to be included, advised and at times reassured in your child’s future within the school.
The old fashioned virtues of discipline, courtesy and politeness are valued and there is an insistence on good manners, responsible behaviour, respect for authority and fellow pupils and a concern for the needs of others.
At Morley Hall, pupils are taught in small classes to the highest academic levels by traditional teaching methods, which encompass modern technology.
We have general subject based classrooms and swimming, sports, music and library facilities are part of the curriculum.
Attention is paid throughout the school to grammar, punctuation, spelling and presentation.
Pre and After school care and holiday club are available if required.
Children entering the school are not selected on ability and are given every opportunity to maximise their individual potential. There is no failure, only feedback. All children are praised, valued, supported and encouraged to respect themselves, respect each other and take responsibility for their actions. School outings are planned each year suitable for each year group and the whole school visit the pantomime every Christmas.
We also have CHILDS PLAY PRIVATE DAY NURSERY (children 0-4 years). Child’s Play children take priority over places available at Morley Hall and children usually transfer from the nursery in groups of four thus enabling them to start school with friends they already know.
Morley Hall is a happy little school dedicated to providing our pupils with an all round education and a sense of well being we hope they will remember for the rest of their lives.
