Dodderhill School (formerly Whitford Hall & Dodderhill) is – a secure, supportive and stimulating place for children aged 3 to 7 and girls 8 to 16. Every one of our happy, friendly pupils is an important member of a community that encourages courtesy, creativity and caring for others.
From the day she joins us to the day she leaves, we will challenge your child academically and help to build her confidence, independence and self-awareness. Active participation in the arts, sports, fundraising and voluntary service enrich a holistic education designed to prepare young women for the modern world.
Subject teaching and use of specialist facilities starts in Kindergarten. By Year 4 all subjects are taught by subject experts, giving pupils the solid understanding and excitement about learning needed for rapid academic progress. A broad curriculum in Years 7 to 9 informs GCSE choices best able to support your child's natural ability and career aspirations. Our GCSE results are a sure sign of the success of our approach. Dodderhill is consistently ranked as one of Worcestershire’s top schools.
Generous landscaped grounds on the edge of Droitwich Spa are home to excellent facilities and make the school a lovely place to learn. On both railways lines from Birmingham and within easy commuting distance of the M5, it is a convenient location for busy families.
Our admissions process is designed to find out if we are the right school for your child, a place where she will thrive personally and academically.
We know that most parents like to start their search by looking at our prospectus. The next step is a visit so that you can meet our teachers and pupils, explore our classrooms and grounds, and get a feel for whether we are the right school for your family. In an informal interview with our headmistress Mrs Mumby, you can discuss your child and her interests, abilities and expectations.
Your child may see the school for the first time at an open day or on an individual visit but the best way to find out if she will be happy here is a Taster Day. She will spend the day with her prospective classmates, enjoy all that a typical day at Dodderhill has to offer and get to know her way around the school. Entrance Assessments are held in January each year but we are happy to consider applications at any time.
