Rose Hill School in Alderley, Wotton under Edge, Gloucestershire, is a smaller, friendlier preparatory school for children who want to get the most out of life! Set in a beautiful Victorian mansion within 30 acres of stunning Cotswold countryside, the school still affords easy access to the M4 and M5.
Rose Hill is proud of being traditional and yet completely contemporary in the education it delivers. It is proud too of the reputation it has, of the first class pastoral care the children enjoy there, and the safe, secure and outstanding environment in which the children work and play. Whilst not being an academic hot house, there is a clear direction for children who would aspire academically, as there is a genuine nurturing of those strengths that are not in academia but perhaps in Sport, Creative and Dramatic Arts, ICT or in their response to life skills and the other extra curricular activities, which all the children at Rose Hill enjoy. For children who may require extra support on a one to one basis for a particular educational need, those lessons are seamlessly and easily fitted into the normal school routine.
Rose Hill is very much a family-friendly independent day school, purposeful and dynamic. Set in a beautiful rural location there are many opportunities available to the children at this very important and exciting stage of their education and all-round development. From a life skills programme to horse riding, digital photography to dance, we offer an extensive and relevant range of extra-curricular activities. For those who aspire to academic scholarships the children have dedicated scholarship time to extend their learning, whilst we offer a range of internal scholarships to those interested in other disciplines; music, sport, drama, art, DT and IT to help them achieve their absolute potential and in preparing them for life in the senior school – and beyond.
In this beautiful Cotswold setting, the children can enjoy a quality of life second to none, which gives them the opportunity to develop fully their skills and potential. The school is clearly focused yet flexible, driven by the dedicated, wonderfully well-motivated staff.
