The Upper School seeks to combine academic excellence with a wide range of extra-curricular activities and opportunities. We are part of a family that includes The Prep School and the Pre-Prep, offering continuity of education from 3 - 18.
The three sections have separate sites which allow them to cater for the specific needs of different age groups, whilst at the same time benefiting from the curriculum and pastoral coherence that comes from being part of a larger unit. Our parents also appreciate the practical benefits of having all their children in schools with a co-ordinated approach to term dates and major events.
We aim to provide the best possible all-round education for the children of Liverpool and its surrounding area. Our pupils are drawn from a variety of backgrounds and are united by their love of learning. The curriculum and pastoral care arrangements are designed to prepare our pupils for twenty first century life. We also provide pupils with a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities and the encouragement to develop their sporting, artistic, intellectual and musical talents.
We rightly take pride in all the achievements of the members of our community in their academic successes as well as the rich variety of other opportunities offered by the school. We aim for excellence; We have high expectations and set the highest standards, doing all that we can to help our pupils reach their goals whilst at the same time challenging them as they go through the school to take advantage of all that is available to them.
Liverpool College pupils frequently achieve national distinction as part of our extensive sports programme. Music, drama and art flourish alongside a wide range of extra-curricular activities including the Combined Cadet Force (CCF), Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme and Community Service, and there are numerous holiday trips and exchange visits. There are currently just over 600 boys and girls in the Upper School.
Our true success may best be measured in the confidence, enthusiasm and happiness of all who study here, then seeing them move on to fulfilling lives built upon the values and strong foundations laid in the school. I would encourage you to pay us a visit and sample something of the spirit of this remarkable place. You can be assured of a very warm welcome.
