‘As Principal I take great pleasure in leading a school that encourages children to excel and most importantly enjoy their school experience and grow into confident individuals’
Auckland College was established in 1999 as a direct response from parents who had been having their children privately tutored through Park View Tuition. Park View Tuition is our founder service and has been operating in Liverpool for over 15 years.
As a result Auckland College was set up with five such pupils. The location of the school was situated in Allerton in Auckland Road [hence the name] we were housed in a small annex of the Welsh Presbyterian Church. Despite our very limited resources word quickly spread about the caring non-oppressive and supportive nature of the school and our pupil numbers grew rapidly. The school has developed an excellent reputation for encouraging pupils to develop self - respect and tolerance. The school has successfully created an environment where pupils needs come first.
Auckland soon required new premises able to meet the demand for places now and in the future. This resulted in Auckland moving to its current site in Parkfield Road, Aigburth Liverpool. As a result our school has continued to grow, achieving continued success.
As Principal I take great pleasure in leading a school that encourages children to excel and most importantly enjoy their school experience and grow into confident individuals. Auckland continues to celebrate our intake of pupils successfully going onto University.
What pleases me most is the caring attitude our pupils have towards each other despite different age groups, backgrounds or culture. They all have one thing in common, a will to succeed and to continue to contribute to Auckland College school life. This has helped greatly in ensuring a caring and safe environment for our pupils.
As well as academic success at Auckland we focus on the importance, of self-respect promoted through excellent manners and self-discipline. It is pleasing to note the many positive comments the school receives on our pupils behaviour and appearance from members of the public.
I take great pride in seeking to ensure that our pupils are well prepared to take on life after their formal education, helping them to make positive choices and making the most of their opportunities.
The school has a part-time SENCO.
