Rudston Preparatory School is a small, caring community of happy, motivated children, parents and staff. It is renowned for excellent National Curriculum Key Stages 1 & 2 results along with Entrance Examination passes and scholarships to senior independent schools.

Boys and girls may enter our Pre-school at two years on a sessional basis or full time. The Pre-school is open for 51 weeks of the year from 8.00am - 6.00pm. At rising four years children move to the main school to begin their full time education and enjoy after school activities. There is an activity club facility until 5.30pm for pupils with working parents.

The curriculum is wide and varied including English, Mathematics, Science, RE, Information Communication Technology (with our own web site and email addresses), History, Geography, PE, Design Technology, Music, French (from rising five years), Latin (from 9-11 years), Personal and Social Education and a variety of specialist instrumental lessons.

Our newly upgraded computer suite is networked across the school site. The classrooms have interactive whiteboards enabling access to the network and the internet, with the capacity to show lessons, resources, videos and television programmes, on a screen 6 feet wide and 5 feet high.

Rudston has an award winning choir, an ever growing orchestra and a flourishing drama department.

Our pupils enjoy many visits at home and abroad.

This highly successful school is situated near Rotherham town centre and is conveniently placed to use professional sports facilities. It is close to the M1 junction 33, Sheffield Airport, Sheffield Parkway and the M18.
