Cliff Schools are a group of independent Nursery, Pre-prep and Prep schools based in Silkstone, South Yorkshire and Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Originally opened in 1939 Cliff Co-educational Preparatory School is based at Leeds Road, Wakefield. Our Pre-preparatory site is close by on Bar Lane. This setting takes boys and girls from 2 to 7 years of age whilst our Preparatory school offers a seamless transition up to 11 years.
Our Wakefield sites are complimented by our sister school, Cliff Nursery (Silkstone) just outside Barnsley. Our tailor made setting offers premium quality education from our baby unit (6 weeks of age) to Kindergarten, for 5 year olds.
Not only do we offer the highest academic standards, but all our children receive a broad and balanced holistic education. As Wakefield’s only stand alone independent school which caters for this age range, we are justifiably proud of our reputation and our results. Our children graduate to a wide range of schools in the area and we have the strongest links to all our neighbouring schools.
Ever conscious of the demands placed upon today’s families, we are pleased to offer wrap-around care at both ends of the day and holiday clubs during all school breaks.
