Bury Lawn School Milton Keynes offers non-selective, coeducational day education for pupils between 18 months and 18 years of age. All classes have 18 pupils or fewer and the school will not exceed 500 pupils housed in modern buildings surrounded by playing fields and tennis courts situated in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. The school has been awarded the Sportsmark Gold for the second consecutive time.
After 37 years the educational pattern is proven and provides traditional educational techniques, discipline and achievement but within a modern and stimulating environment for a wide range of abilities. The philosophy in providing a total package from Nursery education through to 18 years of age gives immense stability and a strong family and social atmosphere creating the all round education we strive to achieve. Our sixth form combines those pupils academically able to achieve good A level grades and university entrance, with those who strive for vocational training and direct employment at 18. In this way, pupils feel part of society, making the most of their own potential, regardless of the area in which their success may lie. Being a small school, courses are individually tailored to suit ability. Achievement of targets is constantly monitored and adjusted from the youngest nursery entrant to the budding adult.
Children with learning difficulties are supported in class and have the option of additional one to one support. Gifted children progress through the school at their own speed.
A vast transport network, and extended hours to provide care from 7.30am until 6.30pm throughout the year (48 weeks), makes the school 'user friendly', affordable and convenient for the working parent requiring the best for their child.
