Although we are very much one school for boys and girls aged from three to eighteen, our three separate sites - The Senior School (11 - 18), the Lower School (9 - 10) and the Junior School (3 - 8) - allow us both to cater for the particular needs of each age group and to retain our very special family atmosphere.
Akeley Wood is a happy, energetic school. We are informal and unpretentious in our approach, with an emphasis on good manners, a friendly discipline, and looking after others. We strive for high academic standards and the results achieved in public examinations are impressive. However, we are also concerned with education in a broader sense, and Art, Music, Drama and Sport are all important to us. In short, we play to the strengths of each individual pupil.
