We set out to make Oundle (age range 11 to 18) a place where boys and girls can fulfil their individual talents and learn to respect one another as equals. On our agenda are three main objectives:
* to give our pupils a sense of belonging to a community in which all are valued
* to give them a sense of accomplishment, whatever their talents and enthusiasms
* to help them to realise their fullest academic potential and to think for themselves.
They must feel cared for. They must feel that their concerns are important and that they are supported by responsible adults concerned for their social welfare and individual development. They must feel that our community would be poorer without the contribution they made.
They must find at Oundle an extensive variety of opportunities to channel their skills and energies, to be able to prove to themselves and others that they can be a success, and not least to find happiness through fulfilment and mutual esteem.
They must be shown how to achieve the highest academic results of which they are capable, ensuring that they can think for themselves and can analyse and identify every kind of problem in order to find the most appropriate solution.
We have one further objective: to give them a firm set of values for later life. We must provide them with an understanding of how life in the outside world will be, and what should be their ultimate priorities.
From these objectives stem the richness and diversity of life at the School. Oundle is a full boarding school offering an extensive range of activity throughout the seven days of the week. Never again in their lives will its pupils enjoy such easy access to such a wide range of opportunity in such a supportive environment.
Alumni - The Old Oundelian Club, founded in 1883, is a thriving club for past pupils of Oundle. It has some 8,000 members scattered throughout the world. We hold many social and sporting functions every year and produce an annual magazine. We have a network of area representatives, so help and guidance is available to Old Oundelians everywhere.
