A Word from the Head

This is a school offering first class education for boys and girls aged 2 to 18 years old.

Central to our philosophy is the family atmosphere and the strong sense of community. We instil in our pupils a sense of responsibility, whilst encouraging self-reliance with a willingness to co-operate as part of a team.

Along with high quality sport, art, music and drama are also strongly encouraged. We have developed a very wide range of free extra curricular activities.

We believe that successful education depends upon a three-way partnership between the child, their parents and the College. Effective communication is at the heart of this hence our extensive assessments and reporting system.
The school is situated on a 56 acre beautiful wooded parkland site with the nursery and prep school housed in a separate listed Georgian building. Academic facilities include an extensive large modern library, fully equipped science laboratories and modern design and technology centre. Sporting facilities include 4 first class rugby pitches, 3 grass hockey pitches, hard tennis courts, athletics track, all weather netball courts, purpose built adventure play areas, a gymnasium and sports hall complete with squash courts.
Pupils benefit from the family atmosphere generated by the husband and wife teams who oversee our boarding houses, and our pastoral care is second to none, with the students operating their own peer group for their fellow students.
Although primarily a day school, we also offer flexible and full boarding facilities in family run, spacious and warm boarding houses.
