Set in extensive grounds on the northern side of Bath, a World Heritage City, the Royal High School is one of the 29 members of the GDST whose schools are renowned for providing a good all round education with a commitment to high academic standards.
We are delighted to announce that the new co-educational Royal High Sixth Form College has received authorisation to introduce the International Baccalaureate Diploma in September 2008.
We are now one of a growing number of leading schools and colleges in the UK that have been officially approved by the I.B. to run the Diploma Programme. We are proud to be an ‘IB World School’. Uniquely in Bath, our students will have the choice, from September 2008, of studying for the Diploma or A levels.
Recent investment in facilities includes a Sports Hall, Music Centre, additional laboratories, and ICT suites. We are particularly proud of our completely refurbished boarding house, designed after consultation with the students. It offers modern, comfortable and spacious accommodation with good provision of ICT, cooking and recreation areas. Currently we are building a new Performing Arts Centre and additional studios for Art & Design.
We place a high value on developing leadership and teamwork skills. Students participate in a wide range of activities such as Young Enterprise, the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and organising charitable and social events. Sport and performing arts are flourishing, with opportunities for all interested students to get involved.
Our thriving Junior School includes a Nursery with first class facilities and excellent teaching. Staff are warm and understanding in their approach, enabling the children to enjoy their days and develop self-confidence.
We hope you will come and visit us to experience the friendliness and sense of purpose, which is at the heart of everything we do. Please contact Dee Lim, our Admissions Secretary for further information on 01225 313877.
