A Word from the Head

White House takes pride in offering high levels of academic achievement within a warm and friendly community. As a Christian school, White House seeks to teach care, concern and courtesy and our visitors frequently comment on the friendly, purposeful and happy atmosphere. Small classes enable teachers to meet the needs of each individual. The school aims to develop the full potential of each child through a wide range of activities and opportunities; children are confident and articulate with a high level of self esteem.

Girls are accepted from 2+ to 11 years of age and are prepared for entry to a range of schools both within the state and private sectors. Boys are welcomed in the Nursery, from 2+ to 4 years of age.

The school is a member of IAPS and fully accredited by the Independent Schools Council. It stands in its own attractive grounds on the edge of Wokingham. The excellent facilities include a multi-purpose Hall, ICT Suite, Science/Technology Department, Music Department and Art Studio. Sport is promoted and pupils have regular swimming lessons during the Summer Term. Sporting fixtures are arranged with local schools. There is a purpose built Nursery with an excellent outside area designed around the needs of the youngest children.

All children are given access to a broad and stimulating curriculum augmented by specialist teaching in Games, Music, Science, Technology and French. Children take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities including drama, ballet, choirs, judo, chess and art clubs. Individual music lessons are offered in voice, piano, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet and stringed instruments. Girls are encouraged to become involved with different orchestral groups. Active learning is encouraged through visits and a variety of events throughout each year. The School Council and House System ensures that all children are involved with their learning and develop a sense of responsibility.

White House is able to meet the needs of busy parents too. The school offers an extended day which allows children to be cared for from 8.00 in the mornings and up to 5:30pm

We are always delighted to meet prospective parents and to show them our thriving school.
