A Word from the Head

Tudor Hall was founded in 1850 and is situated near the M40 between Oxford and Stratford-on-Avon. The school is housed in an old manor house within its own park with many modern facilities. These include a sports' hall, gym and squash courts, a new library, craft design technology block, language laboratory, music school, computer room, home economics block, careers room, science laboratories, a new dining room and a purpose built Sixth Form House for over 80 students. The school policy is to remain small, friendly and personal but academically selective. Languages available include French, German, Spanish, Italian, Latin, Greek and a recreational course in Russian. Most girls remain for A level. The timetable with its broad curriculum and the wide range of extra curricular activities reflects the benefits of a boarding school.

The School is in an ideal position to take advantage of many cultural activities. Work experience and careers conventions are organised to help girls to study purposefully towards their futures. Boarders live in age groups with increased privileges and responsibilities as they grow older. The few day girls are incorporated in to the boarders' activities. There is a broad extra curricular programme including music, drama, sport and art. Girls do the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme and social service. The school aims to prepare students for a happy and fulfilling life after school by developing their academic achievements, personality and interests for the benefit of the the community in the spirit of their motto 'Habeo ut Dem' ('I have that I may give'). Debating, The Young Enterprise Scheme, World Challenge Expedition and Sixth Form Travel Scholarship offer opportunities to show initiative at leadership.
