A Word from the Head

Bickley Park School occupies two sites in Bickley, the Prep at 24 Page Heath Lane and the Pre-Prep at 14 Page Heath Lane. The school has excellent modern facilities to complement the original Victorian buildings. Both sites are extremely attractive and the schools sports field is on the opposite side of the road.

The Nursery provides a very caring and stimulating environment for children to start their school lives. At Pre-Prep level, the children are cared for by a class teacher with the addition of specialist teaching for Music and Games.

In the Prep School, the children are introduced to more specialist teaching and setting for Mathematics, English, Science and French is introduced. The curriculum is broad with the emphasis being placed on encouraging the children to develop their potential to the full in a very caring environment. There is a wide range of extra curricular activities and a full sports programme. The major sports played are football, rugby and cricket, whilst athletics and tennis are also offered.

The majority of children leave at 13+ through the Common Entrance or Scholarship examinations whilst a small number leave at 11 to join the local Grammar Schools.

The Parents Association, run by parents and staff, arrange events, both social and fund raising, during the year.

Visitors are made very welcome.
