“There is more in you than you think” – Kurt Hahn, founder of Round Square
Cobham Hall is unique and offers many exciting opportunities to students. It is a relatively small school with a worldwide clientele, and combines English tradition with a 21st century outlook. The school occupies a stunningly beautiful 16th century manor house, set in landscaped parkland.
Traditional subjects are taught to a high academic standard, and a wide variety of extra curricular activities is offered, including sport, music and drama, and a programme of outdoor pursuits. Involvement in the local community is encouraged.
One theme underlies the diversity of opportunity at Cobham Hall. As an international school, Cobham Hall is a member of the Round Square – an association of schools linking Europe, Africa, North America and Asia-Pacific - which emphasises the development of the student as a whole person. Academic achievement is vital, but the ‘pillars’ of Round Square are also fundamental to this ethos: Internationalism, Democracy, Environment, Adventure, Leadership and Service. Cobham Hall students are constantly expanding their horizons and stretching themselves in both traditional and new directions.
Cobham Hall is essentially a boarding school, and so offers a full social and community life. As well as the usual Tutorial system, there is an outstanding level of pastoral care for students once the teaching day has ended.
