Northbourne Park is a thriving, well established school committed to developing every child’s full potential. Our unique environment ensures that children emerge confident, skilled and at ease with themselves and others.
Our development programme continues and current developments include a Music School, Science Laboratory and Outdoor Education Centre.
Set in over 100 acres of beautiful parkland and woods, the school has easy motorway access to London, and to France/Belgium via Eurotunnel or ferry. The school provides a fortnightly bus service to central London and Eurostar service to Paris and Brussels, and school mini-buses serve the pupils locally.
Pupils achieve high academic standards, taught in small classes by an experienced and professional team. We offer a high quality education, which equips children for entry to senior school via Common Entrance or Scholarship, or to grammar school via the Kent Test.
The school has a long musical tradition and a recent ISC Inspection reported that ‘pupils achieve high standards in music’. Children are encouraged to appreciate music in various ways, either through learning an instrument or joining the choir or orchestra, and gain great confidence by performing in various events throughout the year.
French is introduced from the age of 3, and we have a unique Anglo/French system with two classes of French children in the senior school, where Spanish is also taught.
A long established and well-reputed Learning Support Department, offers a wide range of SEN support including programmes for Dyslexia and social communication difficulties for children in the average plus range of abilities.
Sport and a wide range of extra-curricular activities play an important part of school life. Excellent pastoral care and a unique leadership programme encourage self-confidence and leadership skills. Boarders enjoy a home from home atmosphere, looked after by a caring and professional team. A very popular flexi-boarding service is also provided.
Finally, I hope my words will inspire you to visit the school and experience the special atmosphere for yourself. I look forward to welcoming you.
