A Word from the Head

Bodiam Manor School is a community where, to a remarkable degree, children are nurtured by staff, both by simple and expressive affection, by kindness and good manners from everybody, by humour and energy in creative tasks. Any visitor to Bodiam will come away with the strongest impression that this is a warm, active, positive and inclusive environment where children flourish.

We have always been co-educational and, as the only entirely day school in the neighbourhood, Bodiam children have the best of both worlds: a rich and stimulating school life, and all the benefits of family and home.

As you will see, Bodiam children shine in all endeavours. I am proud that when our pupils leave at 13, they are confident, independent learners, responsible and motivated. Many of our pupils achieve outstanding academic results on transfer to senior schools. Many excel in music, sport, art, dance or drama. Perhaps most importantly, all our pupils move on eager and able to think for themselves.
