Bishopstrow College is a fully residential English Language College providing English Courses for International young learners who wish to prepare for entry to UK prep and senior boarding schools. The College operates a 4 term year, only closing in December and one week in September.
Our students are aged from 8 years upwards and come from a diverse range of countries thereby ensuring that English is always the spoken medium. The students stay at Bishopstrow for 1 to 4 terms improving their English to bring them up to the standard required to enter leading UK schools. In addition students follow a subject specific course suited to primary, middle school, one year IGCSE or pre-A level/1B stages of school entry.
Being completely independent enables us to prepare our students for entry to any UK school of their parents’ choice. Classes are small (5-8 students) so students receive a very high level of individual attention. The College has an excellent record of enabling students to enter their chosen schools, often exceeding their parent’s expectations.
Bishopstrow College is accredited by the British Council under the Accreditation UK Scheme, which is one of the accreditation bodies recognized by the UK government for visa purposes and appears on the DCSF register (865/6041). Our courses have been accepted as being the same academic level as the National Curriculum or National Qualification Framework by Ofsted (England) and therefore fully compliant with the new entry requirements of the UK Border Agency.

* The College is open 46 weeks a year and is not affiliated to one school but has well established relationships with all UK schools
* Cambridge ESOL Examination courses plus Primary, Middle School and one year IGCSE Courses
* Entrance examination preparation, study skills, interview technique and practice, supervised prep and weekly tutorials
* Daily sports programme and full weekend programme of activities, excursions and study visits
