Prepare for tomorrow with an education worthy of today
Mougins School was established on its present campus in 1987 and, since then, the School has seen an incredible transition from a small establishment of 120 students to an impressive, custom-built campus catering for 460 students from 30 countries, following an international advanced level programme based on the British curriculum. With the expansion programme now complete, the facilities include a superb Gymnasium, Games Court, synthetic football pitch, 2 Art Studios, Examinations Room, Library, Information Technology Centre, 3 Science Laboratories, Music Rooms, age-related recreational areas and Dining Room providing freshly cooked lunches.
Despite the increase in enrolment, the relatively limited numbers allow the School to retain the close-knit, family atmosphere which is so welcoming and reassuring to students and families who have had to relocate to a new and challenging environment. The strength of Mougins School is that the numbers permit students to retain their individuality and develop not only academically, but also in the sporting and artistic domains. The School recognises the importance of sport, art, music and dramatic art, all of which help to realise the full potential of a student. Our environment nurtures tolerance and respect of the individual and an acceptation of our differences, whether they are cultural, physical or religious.
The very strong Performing Arts programme at the School enables students to practice both Music and Drama to a high level, regularly producing public performances. Sport is also an important component of the educational programme at Mougins School with affiliation to the UNSS which allows students to compete regularly both regionally and at national level.
The presence of a very active Parent Teacher Association permits the School to participate in some important fund-raising activities, both within the School and to the benefit of local and worldwide charities. The PTA also organises numerous social events in the School and works closely with the Student Council.
In a School that has forged a reputation for its educational quality and pastoral care, an international, multi-cultural education enables students to enter the world of today with confidence and enthusiasm and to rise to its demanding challenges.
