Luckley House School is a thriving coeducational day and boarding school for pupils aged 11-18 years, located in Wokingham, Berkshire.
2018 is a particularly special year for the school, as we celebrate our centenary. Under the leadership of Jane Tudor, who took over headship in 2012, Luckley has undergone significant changes; firstly changing its name and brand in 2013 from Luckley-Oakfield to Luckley House School, and then in September 2015, embarking on the transition to coeducation, after 97 years as an all-girls’ school.
The school has gone from strength to strength following these changes, increasing numbers on roll by over 33% over five years and with almost 25% of pupils now being boys. Academic rigour and challenge, embedded in excellent pastoral care with the ethos of our Christian foundation at its root, is what defines a Luckley House education.
We have also embarked on an ambitious development programme to ensure that we preserve our beautiful buildings and add new facilities to our site, including a high tech music centre, state of the art science laboratories and fantastic performing arts theatre. An all-weather sports pitch and modern Sixth Form Centre are next in the development plans.
The isbi conference will take place within our stunning theatre, of which we are extremely proud! Opened in 2017 by HRH Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, The Whitty Theatre is a beautifully-equipped 174-seat professional theatre, which is home to our own drama department, but also treasured by local community groups and touring theatre companies.
The school is easily accessible from Junction 10 of the M4 and Junction 4 of the M3. By rail: London Waterloo to Wokingham direct, or change at Reading from Paddington
