MacIntyre Wingrave School provides education and care for young people with complex learning difficulties aged ten to nineteen years in a new, purpose built school situated in a beautiful village in Buckinghamshire. Rated ‘Good’ by OFSTED, we specialise in an individualised approach and believe in maximising the potential of all our students.
Our services include:- * Full time, day and residential placements for young people with a range of severe learning disabilities, including Autism. * A Behaviour Support team working across education and residential settings. We have an excellent reputation for providing a safe and positive environment for our students that helps to minimise behaviours that challenge. * Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Music Therapy and Clinical Psychology on site. * Transition support through the ‘MacIntyre My Way’ service, where dedicated brokers work with young people leaving the school to identify suitable solutions for the next stage of their lives
Wingrave School is a vibrant, creative and diverse community where we encourage each other to achieve all we can in a safe and healthy environment. We promote independence and effective communication in everything that we do.
Our approach is simple. We believe our students have a right to be safe and healthy, safeguarded and respected as young adults. We also believe that we all learn best by engaging in stimulating and exciting activities. Using these activities as experiences, we then focus on three key learning areas:- * Communication * Independence * Physical Exercise and Development.
