Head PhotoI am passionate about girls' education and much of my career has been spent in schools founded by remarkable, forward-thinking women. I believe that girls' schools today have an important role to play in enabling young women to reach their full potential at school and beyond.

While The Royal High School is built on a strong foundation of 150 years of history we are firmly focused on the future. We offer an outstanding, contemporary, girl-centred education from nursery to sixth form and as one of the 26 schools of the Girls' Day School Trust (GDST) we are at the forefront of girls' education in the UK.

RHS is a high-achieving day and boarding school with a positive ethos; life-long friendships are formed and learning is fun. We work hard to know our girls as individuals so that we can help each one to discover her strengths and passions as she moves through school. Our girls experience first-rate teaching in the classroom as evidenced by our examination results and valued-added data, but they are also encouraged and supported to think for themselves, solve problems and be prepared to have the confidence to take risks and learn through their mistakes. In addition, our dynamic extra-curricular programme, range of leadership opportunities and strong pastoral care for day girls and boarders enables each one to thrive.

Ultimately, I hope that the girls who are educated at The Royal High, including my own daughter, will leave school as well-educated, well-rounded and well-balanced young women who are not only able to navigate a competitive global, multicultural, technology-driven world successfully, but who have the qualities and character to make a positive difference through the lives they live.

Do come and visit - I would be delighted to meet you and your daughter in person.
