Head PhotoSibford School, Sibford Ferris, Banbury, Oxfordshire OX15 5QL www.sibfordschool.co.uk Sibford School is a 3-18 co-educational day and boarding school set in more than 50 acres of grounds surrounded by glorious Oxfordshire countryside
Originally established in 1842 as a school for the children of Quaker families, today Sibford welcomes pupils of all faiths and none and is currently home to some 400 pupils.
The Quaker values of the school, which seek to recognise ‘that of God in everyone’, remain at the heart of all we do. We believe passionately in the uniqueness of every pupil and know it is our job to seek out and nurture their gifts and develop their confidence to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Sibford is an academically strong school. We achieve excellent results at GCSE and A Level, and our value added results are outstanding. However, we don’t just want our pupils to succeed academically; we are also passionate about their emotional well-being and social welfare … a fact that sits well with our parents, as the following comment shows:

“We feel that Sibford School holds the values, the ethos and the style of teaching and learning that are best for our son. We cannot imagine a better place for his education as a whole person; with academic results being achieved through being a happy individual who feels safe and valued in his learning environment.”

Pupils can join Sibford School at any stage in their educational experience … as three year olds in our Early Years class; as five or six years old in our Junior School; as 11-year-olds just entering senior school; as sixth from students preparing for their A Levels; or anywhere in between. In all cases they will discover opportunities for their talents to flourish and the space for them to grow as individuals and to become the very best they possibly can.

We offer a broad and balanced curriculum where all disciplines are equally respected. Pupils are taught in small classes by dedicated teachers who nurture, inspire and stretch each individual, encouraging them to search, question and find their inner light.

Sibford is a dyslexia friendly school and has a well-established reputation for enabling pupils with a range of learning requirements. We also strive to identify and meet the needs of our most able pupils, who are given the opportunity to be involved in enrichment and extension activities both within and beyond the school.
