Head PhotoWe are hugely proud of our unique position as Early Years specialists, who know how to get the best from your child during their formative years. At Glenesk we place our emphasis on a broad reading-based curriculum, practical maths and a wealth of opportunities to explore, learn and develop.

Our pupils are uniquely prepared for entry to a wide variety of exclusive selective schools and this is testament to our success. In 2017, 88% of our children achieved 'expected' or 'exceeding' scores at the end of Reception compared with the national average of 69%. At the end of Year 2, in their GL assessments, our children scored an average of 120 in maths and english against an expected score of 100.

We provide an exceptionally caring, inclusive and happy environment for your child to thrive, with traditional values of courtesy and respect, alongside first-class teaching and pastoral care. Our passionate and committed teaching staff are highly qualified and supported by specialist staff in music, swimming, gymnastics, PE, dance and drama and Forest School.

Our children have swimming lessons in our heated indoor pool, learn gymnastics in our indoor sports hall, have PE lessons on our sports field and astro pitch, sing and learn music in our dedicated music room, experience outdoor learning in our woodland forest garden.

When your child joins our school they will become part of a family who supports, inspires and nurtures them. Our school equips children with the skills and confidence to challenge themselves, to succeed and to be happy in all they do.

I would warmly invite you to visit and witness our school in action. We look forward to the opportunity to show you and your child what makes our school such an exciting and rewarding place.

This is a special and magical time and your children are guaranteed an extraordinarily warm welcome
