Published on isbi School News dated Wednesday 20th of November 2013

Pupils and staff at Salisbury Cathedral School were delighted to welcome Mr Clive Marriott, their new Head Master, at the start of September. Mr Marriott comes to Salisbury from London, having spent the last fourteen years as Deputy Head of St Paul's Cathedral School, a highly regarded independent day and boarding choir school. He succeeds Paul Greenfield who retired in August.

'I was attracted to Salisbury Cathedral School by the warm and caring ethos as well as the commitment to excellence that pupils and staff show every day,' said Mr Marriott. 'I am thrilled to be taking up the Headship at such an exciting time in the school's development.'

'I have a passion for ensuring all children receive a balanced and holistic education. I look forward to strengthening Salisbury Cathedral School's excellent record for pastoral care still further as well as building stronger links with senior schools across the UK. Everyone has been very welcoming and I am looking forward to getting to know pupils, parents, staff and the wider community.'

The Chairman of Governors, The Dean of Salisbury the Very Revd June Osborne, said 'The entire school community is delighted to have Clive join us at what is a very exciting time in the history of the school. We are a growing and high-achieving community, and the Governors are in the process of considering a number of ways of enhancing our provision for the pupils and the wider school family. Clive's leadership and his proven skills will be a real blessing to the school as we move forward into the future.'
