Donaldson's Opens it's Doors

Published on isbi School News dated Monday 1st of September 2014

Donaldson's School in Linlithgow is offering an opportunity for parents of deaf children, or children with communication difficulties, and professionals to take a tour of the school, meet the staff and experience for themselves the state of the art facilities.

Taking place on Saturday, the 1st of November 2014 from 10:30am to 1pm, prospective parents and teaching professionals will be welcome to join this informal Information Day. The school's experienced team will be on hand to show how their specialist teaching methods are helping children and students from nursery to 18 years old. As well as a tour and introduction to the school, workshops covering a range of topics from speech and language to residential childcare and transition will also be available.

Margaret Burnell, interim school principal, said: 'Previous Information Days have been well received by professionals and prospective parents, particularly those who feel they will benefit from additional support and understanding of their children's needs. We understand the challenges that face such families and this is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate, through informal meetings and workshops, the range of services that are available to help them.'
