Godolphin U15 lacrosse team triumph at tournament & crowned National Champions

The U15 lacrosse team from Godolphin School travelled to Surrey Sports Park, Guildford, to take part in the Rathbones National School Lacrosse Championships, on Monday 29th February. Advancing through the day from strength to strength, the Godolphin U15 As catapulted through to the knock-out rounds after a strong performance in the morning. This next stage witnessed an exceptionally impressive string of victories for Godolphin against a pool of very capable teams that resulted in a well-earned first place victory against Downe House at Monday’s tournament. It was an incredibly happy end to the day for the team, the staff and supporting family & friends. The U15s played 10 matches in total, four of which were in the knock-out round and the girls were exemplary in their sportsmanship throughout. Leslie Banks, Head of Lacrosse at Godolphin School, said: “The girls really gave it everything they had and played with a maturity that would usually suit a successful senior team. They made the school proud.”
