Mrs Tracy Scott has been appointed Deputy Head with responsibility for Teaching and Learning at St Benedict’s Junior School in Ealing from September 2016. Mrs Scott is currently the Deputy Head (Academic) at Ravenscourt Park Preparatory School in Hammersmith. She will bring with her a wealth of teaching experience throughout all primary phases (age 3-11 years), as well as expertise and skills in strategic leadership. Mrs Scott has been teaching for twenty years, with thirteen years’ experience as Deputy Head at St Mary’s, Chiswick, and at her current school, Ravenscourt Park.

Mrs Scott attended St Maurice’s High School in Glasgow, before gaining a Bachelor of Education (Hons), specialising in Music and Modern Foreign Languages, from the University of Glasgow. In December 2006, she was awarded her National Professional Qualification for Headship from the Institute of Education, London. She speaks very highly of her own education and values the experience of being taught by inspirational teachers and lecturers.

A mother of three children, Mrs Scott is currently a Governor in an Ealing Primary school. In her spare time, she enjoys music, reading, swimming and attending the theatre.

Mr Simmons, Headmaster of the Junior School, said: “I am delighted that Tracy Scott will join us for the start of the next academic year, and I look forward to working closely with her. Tracy has genuine passion for education and a wealth of experience. I have no doubt that she will make an outstanding contribution to the rich academic and cultural life of our Catholic Benedictine school.”
