She supplied them with inspiration for their own reading and writing too by sharing her story of why she became a writer of mystery novels, as well as inviting them to assist her in making up the foundations for their own murder mystery story. Students excitedly queued afterwards to receive Robin’s autograph in their new colourful books. Murder Most Unladylike was the biggest middle-grade debut of 2014, winning the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize (Young Fiction category) and garnering a loyal fan base and huge critical acclaim. Over 180,000 copies of the first four books have sold so far. Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong are spending their Christmas holiday in snowy Cambridge. Two days before Christmas, a brutal accident takes place - but the Detective Society suspect murder. Faced with fierce competition from a rival agency, they must use all their cunning and courage to find the killer (in time for Christmas Day of course!)
