Sixth Form Artists Visit UCL
On Thursday 8 December, Sixth Form artists enjoyed an exciting and visually stimulating programme of lectures from four leading internationally recognised artists, working in different processes at the Institute of Education at UCL.
From ceramic art to textiles, painting and photography, the day provided variety, innovation and the chance to hear how ideas become art.
The speakers for the day were Magnum photographer Martin Parr, calligraphy and textile artist Rosalind Wyatt, abstract painter Fiona Rae and leading contemporary artist and Turner Prize-winner Grayson Perry.
Tash Desmond (U6) said: ‘It was a brilliant insight into how the minds of different artists work.’Published: December 20 2016
