Christmas Comes to Culford Prep

The annual Prep School Christmas Fayre took place on Friday 9 December. The focus was very much on fundraising, friendships and fun!

Hundreds of pupils and parents, including a number of Senior School pupils supported the event. The Prep School Choir led Santa to his photo booth and opened the proceedings.

The Parents Association support, led on this occasion by Mrs Clarke, helped to organisethe Upper Third Charity Stalls, which raised over £400 in under two hours. Their stalls included soggy sponge throwing, assault courses, glitter galore and the very popular bottle flipping challenge to name a few. It was great to see the children and parents take our fundraising exploits seriously, and when combined with the dress down day, it is clear that a good amount of money has been raised for our chosen charity Children with Cancer.

The Grand Raffle was a great with a state of the art iPad as the first prize. This was won by the Ruffles-Francis family. We are extremely grateful to all our prize donors for their generosity again and there will be a full list of donors publicised by the PA. We would also like to thank our staff who actively supported the event, particularly our office staff and Mel the caretaker who works so hard before and after such events.

Santa had many visitors this year, with the added attraction of ‘Santa selfies’ available in reception. Our hospitality stall was also run so ably by our parents catered beautifully for all, with free drinks and pies.

Any parent wishing to join the Prep PA would be extremely welcome and I would urge you to look out for the next coffee morning invitation. Whatever time you can give to support the school would be appreciated, and many hands do make light work! Thank you again on behalf of the PA and the School for your continued support.
