Tremendous Tennis Achievement for Culford Pupil Ranking 9th in Europe

During the Autumn term, Kylie Bilchev (F4), travelled to Florida, USA, to take part in two of the biggest junior tennis tournaments in the world, for the Under 14 age group.

First, Kylie took part in the Eddie Herr tournament in Bradenton. She reached the quarter finals of the singles event and won the doubles event with her British partner.

Kylie then played in the Orange Bowl in Miami. This competition is widely regarded as the World Championships for Kylie’s age group. She put in a fantastic performance and earned herself 5th place overall. Kylie’s coach Andrew Richardson said: “This is an exceptional performance from Kylie, considering she was a year younger than the age group who would normally participate”.

Kylie finished 2016 with a ranking of 9th overall in Europe on the Tennis Europe Ranking for her age group.

Kylie is part of Culford’s High Performance Tennis Programme. If you would like to find out more about this or sports at Culford, please contact our Admissions Team on 01284 385308 or email admissions@culford.co.uk
