Exploring careers at ACS Hillingdon
Students at ACS Hillingdon International School recently spent the day with over 25 professionals as part of the school’s annual Career Day.
Organised to help students discover more about potential career paths, the day welcomed professionals from a range of leading organisations in varying sectors, including architecture, engineering, law, business, the creative industries, education, and healthcare.
The ACS Hillingdon students, aged 14 to 18, were given the opportunity for one-to-one question and answer sessions with the experts, as well as attending presentations to discover more about different career options.
The day supports the school’s Career Guidance programme and the two High School Counsellors, who are dedicated to advising students on researching universities, personal statements and career paths, as well as organising university and career fairs.
Marcea Eckhardt, High School and Careers Counsellor at ACS Hillingdon, commented:
“For many students, it is difficult to know exactly what they want to do for the rest of their lives at 16 or 17 years old. Career Day allows our young people to learn more about a wide range of occupations and encourages them to have conversations with experts in various fields. It’s an invaluable experience as they begin to make decisions about their futures.”Published: February 27 2017
