KING EDWARD’S WITLEY APPOINTS NEW HOUSEPARENT FOR QUEENS’ HOUSE
Mrs Jennifer Lyttle has been appointed as the new resident Houseparent of Queens’ House, King Edward’s Witley.
Mrs Lyttle, who joined King Edward’s ten years ago as an English teacher, is no stranger to this type of pastoral role having previously taken on the position of Assistant Housemistress for St Bridget’s House (for senior girls). As resident Houseparent, Mrs Lyttle is responsible for the 36 boarding and day girls assigned to Queens’ House and will also continue to teach English to a wide range of pupils at King Edward’s, spanning 13-18 years of age.
Commenting on the position, Mrs Lyttle says, “It is always a privilege to be given the opportunity to play a pivotal nurturing role in the growth and development of our pupils. For me, witnessing the journey of the girls who join the school as children and leave as confident and capable young ladies delivers enormous job satisfaction and I’m proud to be part of this important phase of their lives.”
As a Residential Houseparent, Mrs Lyttle has moved into Queens’ House with her husband and young daughter, who attends King Edward’s partner school, Barrow Hills.Published: January 31 2018
