Three Millfield Prep netball teams compete in IAPS National Finals
Three Millfield Prep netball teams travelled to Basildon to compete in the IAPS National Finals after winning the regional competition, which was hosted at Millfield. Both the U12A and U13A teams finished runners-up in the competition.
The U13As played excellently throughout the finals. Out of the five games played, they won three, drew one and lost one game. They played an unbeaten Hurstpierpoint College in the final, losing 7-4 to finish runner-up.
The U12A team started the day playing Bromsgrove School and managed to gain an 8-6 win. With spirits high they went on to play their hardest game against Brighton College and lost 7-6. The girls managed to reach the finals where they played St Faith’s School but narrowly missed out on the title.
The U11A team competed in nine group games, displaying outstanding netball throughout, however the girls were faced with strong defence and unfortunately were unable to beat the opposition.Published: April 13 2018
