Glenalmond Grounds Team Makes Final Preparations for Open Day
Staff in the grounds team at Glenalmond College are making their final preparations for the school’s Open Day next week, which looks set to host a record number of visitors.
The team, which looks after the school’s extensive grounds totalling more than 300 acres, is determined to ensure the school looks its very best for what promises to be one of the best-attended Open Days it has hosted for many years.
An unprecedented number of people have already registered to attend the Open Day on Saturday 21st September, which offers an opportunity for prospective pupils and their families to meet pupils and staff to hear first hand about the College.
The Open Day follows the very strong A-Level exam results announced by Glenalmond last month when the Perthshire school recorded its highest percentage of A* A-Level grades for five years. More than 12% of its pupils achieved all A* results and a remarkable 30% of pupils achieved all A* - A grades.
Kitty Lindsay, Director of Admissions at Glenalmond College, said she was absolutely delighted with the level of interest in the school and looking forward to welcoming visitors on Saturday.
“Our Open Day offers an excellent opportunity for people to explore our beautiful campus and hear first hand from staff and pupils about what sets the school apart.
“It will also give our visitors an insight into school life, allowing them to have a better understanding of the values which underpin Glenalmond and our aims and ambitions for the continued growth of the school.”Published: October 4 2019
