Two of Halliford school's pupils, George Edgson and Hugh Fraser not only gained international rugby honours at U16 but they played against each other in an Auld enemy clash at the Wellington International Festival in Berkshire.
Edgson was selected to play for England South and Fraser for Scotland. During the match Fraser was fortunate enough to kick a dozen points for his team while the English counterpart contributed to a number of England tries with some lung-bursting runs. Later in the tournament Fraser scored the opening try for Scotland against France and Edgson also played against Canada and Wales.
Both are committed sportsmen and have worked hard at developing their rugby at school, club and county level.
Director of Sport Ian Bardgett said "Their passion for rugby and their determined attitude has enabled them to achieve at the highest level for U16s, I am sure they will have cherished the experience of playing with equally gifted students from schools across the UK. Halliford is extremely proud of their achievements".
