ACS International Schools enrol a total of over 2400 students aged between 2 and 18, from over 60 countries, speaking 30 languages, at three London area campuses in England. Based on international and American research, principles, and educational practices, the schools are committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarship and citizenship.
• All ACS campuses are International Baccalaureate (IB) World Schools, offering the IB Diploma. In addition, ACS Egham International School is one of only three schools in the UK to also offer the IB Primary Years Programme (3-11), and the IB Middle Years Programme (11-16).
• All ACS campuses offer a traditional American High School Diploma, with ACS Cobham, and ACS Hillingdon also teaching US Advanced Placement (AP) courses.
• In 2008/9 our combined IB Diploma pass rate of 97% was well above the international average of 78.6%, and our average IB Diploma score of 33 points surpassing the international average of 29.5. These results continue to place us among the highest achieving independent schools in the UK.
• ACS graduates attend leading universities around the world including: Cambridge, Imperial College London, London School of Economics, and Oxford in the UK and Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, and Pennsylvania State University in the US.
• The schools are accredited by the New England Association for Schools and Colleges, and authorised by the Independent Schools Association UK. ACS also holds memberships in the Council of International Schools, and the International Baccalaureate Organization. The Schools are inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) on behalf of OFSTED and the results are available on the ISI website (www.isinspect.org.uk) • Small class sizes facilitate multi-level teaching, academic challenge, and a focus on individual student learning styles.
• Students also participate in international theatre art programmes, competitive sport tournaments, maths, literature, and music competitions in the UK and across Europe.
• English as an Additional Language (EAL) is taught throughout the schools.
• Native Language Enrichment programmes are offered in many languages as required.
