Heathfield School is an independent girls' school catering for ages 3-18 and we are part of the Girls' Day School Trust (GDST), a registered charity which exists to provide a high quality education to girls of intellectual promise at a competitive cost. The school is well served by trains and buses, the nearest tube stations being Eastcote and Rayners Lane. The School is situated on a nine-acre site in Pinner, including six tennis courts; playing fields; Sports Centre incorporating 25 metre swimming pool and dedicated fitness suite; Music Studio with designated private practice rooms; ICT suite, Careers and Learning Resource Centre, Drama and Art Studios. A new 2-storey Sixth Form Centre, the pinner leadership centre, opened in September 2008 to provide flexible learning spaces for the 21st Century. It includes a conference room, recording studio and state-of-the-art ICT facilities to facilitate e-learning. The Centre gives a physical expression to our vision of preparing tomorrow’s leaders through an emphasis on leadership, enterprise and global learning. The centre has its own website on www.pinnerleadershipcentre.co.uk.
The school values scholarship and hard work, enabling the students to achieve excellent examination results and continue onto University. At the same time, we emphasise the acquisition of a sense of responsibility, self-confidence and concern for others through our pastoral system. We welcome girls from many different cultures, religions and backgrounds, and from a wide range of independent and maintained schools, as well as from our Junior School. We offer a wide range of subjects including Mandarin and Classics, as well as extra-curricular activities such as World Challenge; Duke of Edinburgh award; public speaking; Chess; Drama; Salter’s Chemistry; Sport and Music amongst others. We also offer a varied menu of trips in both Britain and abroad such as Italy and Greece, New York and France. We have received national recognition with the award of Sportsmark and the Silver ArtsMark.
At GCSE and A Level, the 2008 pass rate was 100% with all girls going on to University, including Oxbridge. Many girls achieved top marks from Examination Boards.
Choosing a school is an important question and we welcome parents and their daughters to visit the school either at one of our Open Days or for an individual tour. For more information on our school, please visit our website www.heathfield.gdst.net.
We are proud of what we offer and hope that you, too, will want to be a part of our success.
