A Word from the Head

Milton Abbey is a school like no other.

Your first impression may well be of the welcoming warmth, the unaffected good manners and the happiness of all who live and work here. You will have begun to discover what a very personal place this is: a school in which everybody genuinely knows everyone. Milton Abbey offers your child a unique opportunity to enjoy his schooldays, to discover himself and to learn about others.

The key factors are:

* our small size
* our unusually supportive teaching staff
* our abbey church, where God has been worshipped for more than a thousand years
* our ethos, which defines strength as gentleness, and discipline as good manners
* the serenity of our setting and the exquisite beauty of our historic buildings

At Milton Abbey, we have achieved what other, bigger schools strive in vain to achieve: an intimate community in which achievement in any area of school life is never rated more highly than quality of character. No one is overlooked. Everyone is famous.
