Cheltenham College is one of the country’s leading co-educational independent schools for both day and boarding pupils aged 3–18. Offering outstanding all round education within a warm and vibrant community, the school is situated in 72 acres of beautiful grounds in the heart of the Cotswolds. The prep school (3 – 13) occupies a stunning woodland setting, including its own sports fields and lake, adjacent to the Senior School. It also has its own pre-prep department called Kingfishers for children aged 3 – 7. Road and rail connections are excellent, with Birmingham and Bristol airports less than an hour away and London no more than two.

Cheltenham College is renowned for its richness and diversity of education. Opportunities for pupils to develop their talents and potential are vast, from academic success through to leadership skills, sport and creativity. Both the prep and the senior school are reputed nationally for the strength of their numerous sports teams, with top-level sports professionals and coaches complementing unrivalled sporting facilities. Music also plays a vital part in school life, with pupils able to learn just about every orchestral instrument imaginable as well as numerous choirs, bands and ensembles. The arts equally flourish, with both schools staging several plays a year and pupils encouraged to exhibit their art and design work in Thirlestaine House, the College’s very own 19th century mansion and gallery.

Life at the prep school is action packed with lessons including daily class music and French from the age of 3, and after school activities ranging from debating and drama to rocket making and wind surfing! A real sense of enthusiasm for learning pervades the school, with pupils building strong relationships with each other and their teachers. A broad and independent curriculum stimulates and challenges the boys and girls academically, while the 40+ clubs, societies and sports teams enable every child to flourish and excel. Pastoral care is outstanding, with teachers taking the time to get to know each child and their parents individually. Equally in College a huge array of extra and co-curricular clubs and societies are on offer, from outdoor pursuits and expeditions to the Himalayas to community service and Humanitarian Aid projects. Up to 30 clubs operate weekly, including shooting, dance, pottery, film making and drama. The school also runs a successful Combined Cadet Force and operates the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme at Bronze and Gold level.

Renowned for its focus on all round education, one of Cheltenham College’s greatest strengths is the loyalty, respect and integrity that it inspires in its pupils. Founded upon Christian principles, with a strong House system at its heart, Cheltenham College offers a tremendous amount to parents who want their children to develop not only as learners but as independent, confident and responsible young people. The inclusive community of the College encourages both social and academic integration; boys and girls play an active role in College life and thrive within it. All pupils are stretched academically and go on to achieve their best in a positive and supportive learning environment.

In the Junior School, there is a 100% Common Entrance pass rate and many pupils gain Senior School scholarships.

In College, the iGCSE is offered in Maths, English Literature, Science, History and Geography and over 95% of school leavers go on to the university of their choice.
