Malvern St James is an independent boarding and day school for girls aged 4-18. With an excellent reputation for providing first-class education, our experienced and high-achieving staff create opportunities for independent learning and risk-taking so that each girl develops an inquisitive love of learning. All our girls go on to study at good universities both in the United Kingdom and world-wide.

An Ofsted inspection in November 2009 awarded the School an 'outstanding' result in all categories concerned with the well-being of children. Their report stated that girls 'self-knowledge, self-esteem and self-confidence is excellent because they are valued within the school community and their contribution and efforts are noticed and rewarded'.

An all-round education is about exploring new ideas, trying new activities, extending boundaries and taking risks. We strive for academic excellence and believe that activities outside the classroom are key to developing character and confidence. Our boarding environment provides the opportunity for both boarders and day girls to develop high levels of independence, strong community spirit, social skills, a more diverse social life and life-long friendships.

Malvern St James provides a vibrant and safe community for girls in an area of outstanding natural beauty, rich in cultural heritage. Located in one of the most stunning areas of central England, Malvern is a beautiful town with open countryside on all sides. This area was described by playwright, George Bernard Shaw, as: 'Quite the best bit of England’, and has provided the inspiration for many famous composers and authors including Edward Elgar, Elizabeth Barrett Browning and J.R.R Tolkien.

With small class sizes and state-of-the-art facilities, the School offers the very best in education both inside and outside of the classroom. As one of the top 25 independent girls’ schools in the country at GCSE and A-Level, the focus of Malvern St James is to empower each girl to reach her potential and achieve results that exceed expectations. Girls leave Malvern St James as confident, purposeful and caring young women who are able to take their place in the global society.
