Family grouping classes 0-3, 3-5½, 5½-8, 8-11 years.
Preparation for exams and entrances to secondary schools.
Ratio 1 to 10 children (or better) 100% pass rate for SATs from 1999 until now.

The children work in a co-operative atmosphere, making independent choices and progress at their own speed.

Peripatetic teachers teach sports, gymnastics, yoga, piano, music, and swimming. We also offer horse-riding and Ju-Jitsu.

The environment is an important part of the education and is always attractive and orderly. In a stimulating and happy atmosphere the children progress quickly and independence is encouraged.

Many of the children have attended our Montessori Nursery or other Montessori Nurseries prior to joining us and the parents have chosen St Andrews as they wish their children to continue with the successful head start they have received.

An early foundation to the three R's is given in the reception class where a variety of other subjects are offered e.g. French, music and movement, piano lessons, lives of artists and musicians, and art.
Science, History and Geography are introduced as projects.
Our aim is to open as many doors as possible to the children so that they can start their journey of discovery in these areas.

Based on the National Curriculum our Montessori programme ensures our children are well in advance. ISCDS said we had a world class standard in education. Literacy results were 23% better than National maintained schools averages; numeracy 26% better and science 13% better. Pupil to computer ratio is 80% better. staff ratios 66% better, class sizes 61% better.
St Andrews is a small happy school with a family atmosphere.
The children are encouraged to look after and care for each other.

We respect children as individuals. Our aim is to engender a love of learning to help children learn for its own sake.

Before and after school care is provided. The day care unit enables parents to have all their children cared for on one site. We run an after school club and holiday club.

The school is housed in a Grade II listed building dating from 1813. The grounds of 21 acres consist of meadow, lawns and woods. The school is five minutes away from Junction 6 of the M1 and Junction 21A of the M25. The A41 is close by. It is surrounded by three secondary schools - Parmiters, St Michaels Catholic High and Francis Coombe.

We are sympathetic to dyslexic, dyspraxic, Aspergers or mildly autistic pupils.

Alumni - one of our past pupils, Nisha San Jhirarajah, at 7 years was, for a time, the youngest child to gain a GCSE and was in the Guiness Book of Records.
