Abbot's Hill is an Independent Day School for girls aged 3-16 years and boys aged 3-5. There is a total of 480 pupils in the School from Nursery through to Year 11. The School is situated in 76 acres of parkland, under three miles from M1/M25 in Hertfordshire. The main accommodation is located in a spacious and comfortable 19th Century house. This, combined with purpose built teaching blocks, Science, Technology and ICT centres, provides our pupils with first class facilities.

A new performing arts and sports facility opened at the beginning of September 2007. The School has lacrosse pitches, four grass and five hard tennis courts with the additional facility of an indoor tennis dome and an outdoor heated swimming pool. Our main sports are lacrosse and netball in winter and tennis, athletics and swimming during the summer. Tennis coaching is available throughout the year and there is a strong competitive Ski Team. Other sports are provided through extra curricular activities. Our close proximity to London and local facilities further enhances the activities the School can offer.

In Baird House, the Senior Department, pupils are taught in small subject classes to GCSE, where excellent results are achieved. Baird House girls are encouraged to consider their future prospects and are very well prepared to choose from a wide range of A level and GNVQ courses offered to them when they leave. There is a comprehensive careers programme available to further enhance their decisions.

The School has very strong Music and Drama Departments with the School choirs and orchestra performing regularly in concerts, plays, musicals, competitions and various functions throughout the School calendar.

In St Nicholas House, the Junior department, lessons are based on the National Curriculum and are further enriched by specialist subject teaching in French, Music, ICT, Dance and Drama.

Pupils may join the School in Nursery, Reception, Year 3 or Year 7. There are occasional vacancies for other age groups. Details of Scholarships and Bursaries are available on request.

Religious denomination: Church of England with regular acts of worship for all pupils. Abbot's Hill welcomes pupils of other religious beliefs.
