Salisbury Cathedral School is a co-educational boarding, prep school for pupils aged between 2 1/2 and 13. The school is spectacularly housed in 27 acres of beautiful grounds next to the Cathedral.

The Pre-Prep and Nursery Department has its own self-contained, happy and secure area with use of the main school’s facilities. Academic attainment is far beyond the national average, providing the children with an excellent start. Quality before and after school care, is available.

In the prep school high academic standards are achieved. 11+ coaching is provided for children wishing to go on to the local grammar schools and results are impressive. Recent years have seen an 80% pass rate. Specialist teaching in Years 7 and 8 is geared towards Common Entrance. Scholarship results are exceptional. This year pupils gained major awards to schools which include Canford, Godolphin, Lancing, Wells, Uppingham, Dauntsey's and Sherborne.

The school has an enviable reputation for musical excellence. In addition to the two cathedral choirs, there are four school choirs and numerous instrumental ensembles, from a full symphony orchestra to a jazz band.

All children are encouraged to enjoy a range of team and individual sports. Participation is important and all pupils have the opportunity to represent the school.

Salisbury Cathedral School treats all children as individuals, encouraging them to reach their full potential and offering support where needed. Every child is known well and each child’s progress is nurtured.
